SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Nominate a Student for Barnabas Scholarship
Do you know a student who demonstrates Christian character, has made a commitment to on- or off-campus service, shows a willingness to take on tasks regardless of recognition or challenge, demonstrates leadership and will be a senior during the 2008-2009 school year? If so, we encourage you to nominate the student for the Barnabas Servant Leadership Scholarship. Recipients will receive $750 cash grant and $250 to a charity of their choice. Online nominations due by April 25--see link. [link]


Joel Aggergaard Memorial Scholarship
Washington residents attending SPU full-time during 2008-2009 academic year are eligible to apply for this $2,500 scholarship. Applications are available online at the link and are due June 1, 2008. [link]

European Quarter 2009 - Application Deadline May 1, 2008
March 31 - June 7, 2009: European Quarter -Europe and the Imagination: Spain, France, and Germany. The quarter will spotlight the harnessing of the imagination across Western Europe in art, architecture, literature, philosophy, political science, economics, and religion. Visits include: Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Paris, Strasbourg, Heppenheim, Erfurt, Weimar, Dresden, and Berlin. Last Day to Register, Add Course or Audit
Tuesday, April 1 is the last day to register or add courses without a late fee and also last day to apply for audit. Student Academic Services, sasinfo@spu.edu, 281-2031.


Registration Deadlines
Waitlist ends Thursday, March 27. SAS will contact students via e-mail if space opens up in a waitlisted class. Last day to add classes is Tuesday, April 1, 5:00 p.m. Registration deadline for students wishing to take a pass/no credit or internship, independent study is Tuesday, April 8.


Summer 2008 in Spain
The August 1 - September 1, 2008 summer program still has several spots available. Earn 13 credits in Spanish Language and History. For more information, contact Dr. Ferreiro, beto@spu.edu.
