Library Instructional Classroom Policy

PURPOSE

The Library Instructional Classroom is used for ad hoc technology-integrated instruction with priority given to classes maximizing use of computers.

The Instructional Classroom is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.  SPU faculty may reserve the Instructional Classroom for an occasional class session. Regularly scheduled classes may meet in the Instructional Classroom only when directed by the University Registrar.

When the Instructional classroom is not scheduled, then it is used by the library patrons as an open computer lab.

SCHEDULING

Reservations to use the Instructional Classroom are made through the Library Administrative Assistant, Robin Maass, at 206-281-2413, email: maassr@spu.edu, or via the online reservation request form. Reservations will be addressed on a quarterly basis.

Non-SPU groups must schedule the Instructional Classroom through Conference Services.

The room has 20 computers and the standard CIS instructor’s podium. The maximum occupancy is 37.

Regular Library hours will observed when scheduling.  For use outside of Library hours, please contact Robin Maass to discuss special considerations.
