Each quarter, faculty will be notified quarterly any students in their class who have accommodations by receiving a Disability Verification letter.
Disability Support Services is also available to help faculty understand a student’s particular needs. Questions about the appropriateness of an accommodation or discussion about other possible accommodations for a student should be directed to DSS. Faculty members should refer to the Faculty Rights and Responsibilities page for more information on their expected involvement.
DSS can also provide faculty resources on working with students with disabilities including:
- Recommendations for universal design.
- Suggestions for helping students with specific disabilities.
- Resources on working with students with disabilities in specific programs or areas of study.
