Applying to SPUApplication Deadlines
Recent public higher education budget cuts across the nation threaten to reduce enrollments and significantly raise tuition at many public universities, including here in Washington State. Depending on the extent of budget reductions at the University of Washington, for example, it was recently reported that 850 - 2200 less students may be served in the next two years.
In light of this news, Seattle Pacific University will continue in the weeks ahead to encourage admission applications from qualified students who seek a distinguished education and a community committed to SPU’s vision for engaging the culture and changing the world.
We know that some families, often for financial reasons, may not have considered enrollment at a private university as an option before. We encourage you to apply and to investigate your eligibility for scholarships and financial aid. More often than you may think, a combination of these sources of aid make it possible for students to meet the cost of private higher education. In fact, this year SPU has assisted hundreds of our students to stay enrolled when their families have experienced a significant financial loss in this difficult economic downturn and in turn, graduate. Our vision at SPU is what really counts. We are guided by a clear and compelling purpose to bring hope into the world we serve. The Christian story animates our work at SPU and equips students like you to make a difference in the world. This is what our world needs, especially in these times.
**Transfer students studying nursing may apply only for Autumn Quarter, and the deadline is January 15. Academic Calendar
