At Seattle Pacific University, we are committed to "engage the culture and change the world" through Christian higher education. This is our institutional vision and our promise. We do this by graduating people of competence and character, by becoming people of wisdom who can speak to the culture, and by modeling grace-filled community. A key component of communicating this vision with on- and off-campus audiences is how the Seattle Pacific University introduces itself, so to speak, through the use of its institutional name and logo. SPU has embarked on a University-wide visual identity system that has redefined the look and relationship of its logo and logotype. The new visual identity system has two overall objectives. First, it offers a bold, easily identifiable and contemporary combination of type and art to graphically illustrate the vision and mission of the University. Second, the new system is designed to present a consistent visual image of the University over a wide range of print and electronic communications. This Web site has been developed to acquaint you with the key elements of the new system, especially as they relate to print communications. It also allows faculty and staff the opportunity to order supplies of institutional stationery and other items that bear the new visual system. University Communications
