Since its founding in 1891 as Seattle Seminary, Seattle Pacific University has equipped men and women to engage the culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Epistle of James tells us that reflecting deeply on faith and living out faith in the world go hand-in-hand. If you are looking for a graduate community that is grounded in an ever-deepening and ever-challenging Christian faith, you’ll find it at Seattle Pacific Seminary.

Mission Statement: Why We Exist

Seattle Pacific Seminary is a workshop of the Holy Spirit that exists to pursue the knowledge of the Triune God for the deepening of the church's worship and the strengthening of its love for the least of these.

Vision Statement: What We Do

The vision of Seattle Pacific Seminary is to educate, equip, and empower students to participate in the reconciling work of Christ for the renewal of the church and the life of the world.

Seminary Programs

Seattle Pacific Seminary offers a Master of Divinity (MDiv), seven Master of Arts (MA) degrees, and two dual degrees programs in partnership with the School of Psychology, Family, and Community, as well as six different Graduate Certificates in specialized ministry areas.
