First Generation student

Education: MSW, University of Washington, 2024; BA, Seattle Pacific University, 2022

Noha grew up on the east side of the Seattle area and graduated from SPU in 2022 with a BA in Sociology. As an alum, she has a lot of familiarity with SPU’s campus resources and community. Her work experience in Admissions and Residence Life taught her the power in asking hard questions, and self-advocacy. Getting to support fellow first generation college students was a standout moment for her. She feels that exploring identity is one of the most formative experiences you can have and that it is truly what higher education is all about!

Her passion for connection, service, and community healing is what encouraged her to pursue a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Washington. Ultimately, she hopes to become a school social worker to help increase accessibility and involvement in the education system for BIPOC youth, and low-income families. She is also a strong advocate for mental health & therapy and hopes to incorporate that in her practice as well. Working with college students is an integral part of her journey, and she is very excited to extend her love and support for the SPU community as an ARLC!

When Noha is not working, she loves to play volleyball with friends, play music with her beloved guitar, go to coffee shops, and spend quality time with her family and friends.
