In our classrooms we investigate how to produce high-quality products and services that meet real needs ― as well as how to create environments where people enjoy the freedom to engage their creative talents most fully. We've found these ideals can best be accomplished when profit is emphasized as a means, rather than an end.
Faculty members at SPU integrate Christian faith concepts in all their disciplines, and closing the perceived gap between business and faith is an important component in our programs. When I became dean of this school in July 2013, I was attracted not only to its strategic Seattle location, but also to its well-earned reputation for advocating another way of doing business – business you can believe in.
Ultimately our approach is rigorous in the core business disciplines while remaining faithful to the gospel's call to service. Our school delivers an outstanding business education, accredited nationally by the AACSB and distinguished by its emphasis on applied learning.
So along with our dedicated faculty and staff, I look forward to meeting you, and to learning along with you.
