Helping Heal the World

Michael Medoro
Michael Medoro, Tempe, AZ, USA

I came to SPU to study psychology and communication, and earned degrees in both. What were life-changing were my SPRINT missions trips to Uganda/Kenya in 1996, and to Puerto Rico in 1997. Through them, God's guiding hand led me to the work I was meant to do.

After graduation, I worked in a Guatemalan orphanage and was there when Hurricane Mitch battered the region. That's when I gained a heart for relief work. I worked with the Easter Seals organization in Arizona for eight years, earned an M.B.A., and discovered Project C.U.R.E., the world's largest distributor of donated medical relief supplies and equipment. Today, I am the executive director of Project C.U.R.E. Arizona, where I oversee the work of 5,000 volunteers and the distribution of millions of dollars in medical material.

We are impacting nations and saving lives. We are living Christ's words in Matthew 25:36: "For I was sick and you looked after me."
