It's a long way from learning to sew on buttons in the SPU costume shop, to the frantic energy backstage in some of Britain's biggest theatres. As a dresser for popular West End shows such as "Love Never Dies" and "Dirty Dancing," I'm under pressure every performance to keep actors zipped, Velcroed, mended, and laced.
SPU connections in the arts world helped me go a long way, but now I'm engaging the arts culture on my own. I have a grand old time, confess my faith when it comes up, let them see that Christians can be fun, and be there for friends and enemies alike when help is needed.
I don't know if I can change the world, but I can change one person's perception of what faith is and can be. That could go an incredibly long way toward helping them make a significant change.
