The Night Nurse

Aida Mambetkarimova

As a new grad, I don't have very many options in the nursing world. But it turns out that I don't mind working the night shift at UW Medical Center — nights aren't as hectic, and I have more time to research (though most of what I learn happens on the floor).

It's a really challenging job, but really rewarding as well, especially when I see patients get well and hear positive feedback from my superiors. My team is supportive, and I feel comfortable sharing my fears and questions with them. I'm so grateful for where I've started my nursing career.
