Symphonic Wind Ensemble Concert

Brass Choir

“American Scenes,” a concert by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, will be held at First Free Methodist Church at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17. Accompanying the Ensemble will be the Brass Choir, Flute Choir, and Clarinet Choir. The concert is directed by Gerry Marsh, and this will be his last concert before retiring in June. The repertoire includes Marsh’s own “Skookumchuck: A Symphonic Poem,” as well as “American Salute” by Morton Gould; “Cake Walk From the Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett; “Every Morning New” by David Holsinger; and “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa. The church is located at 3200 3rd Ave W, adjacent to campus. The concert is free and wheelchair accessible, and parking is available in the church parking lot.
