Information (UNI-COM): Uni-Com is a student-run
campus information and service desk located on the first floor
of the SUB. Its services include directing phone calls, welcoming

Located at 306 W. Emerson, Safety and Security is open 24 hours a
day, seven days a week. Security staff members are trained in CPR,
first aid and respond to all campus emergencies and minor injuries.

Dining
Options: Crossroads at Gwinn Commons is
a state-of-the-art restaurant located on the second floor of
Gwinn Commons. It features a variety of dining options, including
soups and salads, the grill and international classics. Hours:
Mon.-Fri. 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sat. 8:30-10 a.m., noon-1 p.m. and
5-6 p.m.; Sun. 8:15-10 a.m. and 12:30-2 p.m.
The Corner Place Market is the campus convenience
store, located off Martin Square. It features Subway sandwiches,
Starbucks espresso, baked goods, chips, snacks, fruit and a wide

Falcon's Landing is in the SUB and is home
to Tierra Del Sol and La Vincinta Pizza. Falcon's Landing and
the espresso cart, Academic Perks, are now combined in the SUB
with longer hours of operation on Monday-Friday. Falcon's Landing,
featuring the "Good to Go" section of gourmet sandwiches, salads,
treats and drinks, will be open from 8:30 a.m - 8 p.m., Monday
- Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Friday. Academic Perks,
offering Starbucks espresso drinks, will operate from 7:30 a.m

| Grades and Grade Reports: The quality of a student's
performance in a course is recognized by a letter grade that is counted
in points. Except in cases of clerical error, no instructor may change
a grade that he or she has submitted to Student Academic Services.
In addition, grade changes may be made only in the quarter following
the course. |
| Gym/Workout Facilities: With a valid SPU ID card,
graduate and evening students are welcome to use the gym facilities
located in Royal Brougham Pavilion. Available services include weight
room and aerobic fitness center. Students also have limited court
access (please check the schedule outside the main gym for available
court times). Locker rooms are available for student use. Hours:

Identification
(ID) Cards: Photo identification cards are required
to check out library materials, to gain admission to campus activities
and to gain access to certain buildings on campus. ID cards are
issued at the Office of University Services. Students are issued
one card at no charge. A fee is incurred if the card must be
replaced during the balance of the student's stay at SPU. University

The SPU Library provides books, journals and magazines. It also provides
online databases, accessible from Library and through its Web site.
Students need a valid University ID card to check out books and other
materials. Hours: The Library hours starting in

| Parking:
All vehicles must be registered with Safety and Security. This registration
is free and required by the city and University. During the academic
year, all commuter lots are free to park in from 4 p.m.-7 a.m. Mon.-Fri.
and all day Sat.-Sun. (with the exception of S lot outside of Demaray
Hall). Street parking is free, but cars must still be registered

| Public transportation:
King County's Metro bus service is a reliable commuting option and
it serves the University campus, making regular daily trips to downtown
Seattle. Students may purchase bus passes in Safety and Security.

| Class Registration: Dates for registration are
published in the University Calendar found at the front of the Graduate
Catalog and in the Time Schedule. Matriculated graduate and doctoral
student may register through the first week of the quarter and participate
in advance registration. Students will be asked to petition and late
fees will be charged if registration occurs after the fifth day of
the quarter. Procedures for registration vary from program to program,
however there are four options available to students: 1. In person

| Special Needs: The University provides a variety
of services for students with disabilities. The Center for Learning,
located in Lower Moyer, can assist with scheduling interpreters,
readers and other special assistants. The office can also facilitate
the acquisition of Braille and recorded materials, and it can provide
individual counseling and/or referrals. The Center also supports
classroom accommodation, including negotiating needs with faculty

| Transcripts: Official transcripts are released
only on written authorization of the student whose records are requested.
To receive a copy of the transcript, students must send a written
request to Student Academic Services. The letter needs to include:
name the student attended under; social security number; the last
quarter and year the student attended; if student is enrolled in
a current quarter of instruction and the number of classes enrolled
in for that quarter; destination; the number of official copies required;
