WHICH IS BETTER? ONE LIBRARY OR 30?

Seattle Pacific University graduate students have more resources available to them than it might seem at first glance.

Through the Summit system, graduate students have access to materials from a combined catalog of approximately 30 academic libraries in Washington and Oregon — the Orbis Cascade Alliance libraries. You can order books online and have them sent to the SPU Library. All you need is a photo ID library card. Cards are available through University Services, 206/281-2188.

Distance-learning graduate students, note: You can check out materials from the closest Alliance library and return them there as well; moreover, you can have Summit library requests delivered to those locations. To find out which location is nearest to you, call 206/281-2228 or visit the Orbis Cascade Alliance Libraries Web page. (Call the SPU Library circulation desk at 206/281-2229 for help in obtaining the necessary ID card without coming in.) Got questions? Ask a librarian by emailing reference@spu.edu or visit the “Ask a Librarian” Web page.
