MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE UNIVERSITY: SPANISH

Mount Vernon Nazarene University announces a full-time faculty position in Spanish for Fall 2009, contingent upon funding by the University’s Board of Trustees. Responsibilities include teaching a range of courses in Spanish language and literature, supporting majors in Spanish and Spanish secondary education, academic advising and service on university committees. Qualifications include a preference for a Ph.D. in Spanish, evidence of teaching experience and ability, scholarly potential, and ability to support the institution’s mission as an evangelical Christian University in the Wesleyan theological tradition. EMMANUEL COLLEDGE : SPANISH AND FRENCH 

Emmanuel College will be losing a full-time foreign language professor who has been teaching a half-load of French and a half-load of Spanish.  The ideal replacement candidate would have graduate degrees in both languages.  Candidates with a graduate degree in French OR Spanish AND in some other field (e.g., English) will also receive serious consideration.  (Applicants seeking a part-time position in French or English will also be accepted.) 

Essential Functions of Full-time Faculty: teach undergraduate courses in foreign language to support the bachelor of arts degree options,  committee service, and academic advising.
