EMMANUEL COLLEDGE : SPANISH AND FRENCH 

Emmanuel College will be losing a full-time foreign language professor who has been teaching a half-load of French and a half-load of Spanish.  The ideal replacement candidate would have graduate degrees in both languages.  Candidates with a graduate degree in French OR Spanish AND in some other field (e.g., English) will also receive serious consideration.  (Applicants seeking a part-time position in French or English will also be accepted.) 

Essential Functions of Full-time Faculty: teach undergraduate courses in foreign language to support the bachelor of arts degree options,  committee service, and academic advising.

HOUGHTON COLLEGE: SPANISH

 The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Spanish beginning fall, 2008.

Responsibilities: 1) Teaching upper and lower level Spanish courses; 2) Advising students; 3) Involvement in professional / departmental / college activities; 4) Support of student recruiting; 5) Ability to teach Phonetics and Foreign Language Teaching Methods desirable.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate (ABD considered) in Spanish or related field. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish. Demonstrated excellence in teaching. The Department seeks candidates with a mature understanding of and commitment to Christian faith in the evangelical tradition who demonstrate the ability to integrate a Christian faith perspective in teaching and scholarship.
