The IEEE/EAS club is a club for Electrical Engineering and Engineering and Applied Science students, staff and faculty. It is an official student branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The IEEE is the largest professional organization of engineers in the United States as well as the world. Among other things, the IEEE is separated into different sections. The Seattle Section is the local section of the IEEE.
The SPU IEEE Student Branch is a chapter of the IEEE organization here at Seattle Pacific University specifically for students. Among other benefits, being a student member is less expensive than being a professional member of the IEEE.
