High Flight strives to prepare Christian students for the professional world by exploring how faith can be integrated into the workplace.
Apollo 15 astronaut Jim Irwin endorsed the High Flight Society.
History
"The High Flight Society was established to help prepare students to minister as ambassadors for Christ within their chosen profession. Apollo 15 astronaut Jim Irwin was an inspiration of this concept as he traveled the world under the auspices of the High Flight Foundation to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He had a ready audience because of his experience as an astronaut who walked and rode (the Rover) on the moon. Jim endorsed the founding of our High Flight Society in 1986 when he was a guest speaker at Seattle Pacific University. Jim has since gone on to be with the Lord. We pray that we in the High Flight Society will continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ within our professions. We are called to be Christ's ambassadors. Let us prepare to carry out that commission."
