Transfer Students
Students wishing to transfer their enrollment to Seattle Pacific University should apply for admission using the regular Undergraduate Admission Application.

Alumni and Friends of SPU
We are searching for any alumni in the region affected by the hurricane to make contact and offer support. If you are an alum, or know of an alum in the area, let us know by emailing DisasterRelief@spu.edu. If you’d like to share your personal stories or prayer requests, visit the online Response Bulletin Board.

SPU will also be involving alumni in opportunities for campus-sponsored hurricane relief efforts as they develop. Watch this Web site for more information.

SPU Students
Before the start of Autumn Quarter on September 26, we encourage all SPU students to volunteer their time in hurricane relief during the next few weeks. Contact your local chapter of the American Red Cross, your church, or any local agency helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina. When you arrive on campus, there will be other opportunities for you to get involved in the relief efforts.

The John Perkins Foundation in Jackson, Mississippi
Members of the SPU community will be actively involved through the SPRINT program in restoration work in Jackson and the Gulf region this fall and throughout the academic year. The SPU community is also making a financial gift to the Foundation in order to support its relief efforts, and we are involved in community prayer for our special friends in Mississippi. Learn more about SPU's partnership with the John Perkins Foundation.

Donations Invited
The SPU community is invited to donate to the hurricane relief efforts in one of three ways:

The President's Disaster Relief Fund will go directly to the John Perkins Foundation to support their efforts to meet the short- and long-term needs of victims of the hurricane.

School of Health Sciences had several nurses in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. If you would like to help with their expenses, SPRINT can accept your donations. Checks should be written to Seattle Pacific University with a note in the memo line indicating “SPRINT Hurricane Relief.” For tax purposes, do not put the name of the nurse you are supporting anywhere on the check. You are welcome to attach a note indicating which nurse you would like to support, and SPRINT will take that into consideration. You are also welcome to donate to the team as a whole. Checks should be sent to:
    SPU/Office of Campus Ministries
    Attn: Caenisha Warren
3307 Third Avenue West, Suite 207
    Seattle, Washington 98119-1950

The SPRINT Teams Fund will go to support the teams of students, faculty, staff, and alumni who will travel to Jackson, Mississippi, this winter. While the teams will primarily focus on community development work through the Perkins Center, they will also assist hurricane-displaced families by building long-term housing in Jackson.

You can make a donation for ongoing SPRINT efforts through the University Advancement home page.
