Collier,
Steele and Spina Honored With MOMs
Marcus Collier, IKON printing supervisor, was honored with a MOM (Mocha
on Marj) at the recent University Relations breakfast. MOMs are awarded
to SPU staff and faculty “as recognition for outstanding work and service
for University Relations.” The nominator said, “In December we were
running a bit late on delivering statements and asked Marcus to do a
rush job for us. He came in totally sick just to run our statements!
Then, we had to have more run the next day, and he came in again to
complete them. He always has a smile and is more than willing to help
out.”
Les Steele, dean
and professor in the School of Theology, and Frank Spina, professor
of Biblical studies, were also honored with MOMs. The nominator stated,
“The Nursing Department advised their students to take a specific Winter
Quarter course offered in the evening…after a large waitlist had formed,
Les and Frank agreed to increase the class enrollment to match the room’s
capacity.” Congratulations
to the MOM winners.
