April
Is Academic
You've seen the banners around campus and yes, it's here! Academic April
has begun. This is our fourth year in using the month of April to focus
on students' academic progress and it's WORKING! Last year we saw a
5 percent improvement in our graduation rates; a big jump in such a
short time. Check out the Academic April Web site on the SPU home page
at http://www.spu.edu/special/academicapril/.
All events are listed, including Faith Forums, career development sessions
and the new "Major's Fair." Look for ads in The Falcon for weekly
updates and reminders. Academic April is a universitywide event. As
faculty and staff, you work closely with students and through those
relationships you have the opportunity to guide their academic progress.
As you are working with students, feel free to e-mail Student Academic
Services at sasinfo@spu.edu
with any questions regarding Academic April events. With your support,
students will continue to progress and graduate in a timely manner.
