Sacred Sounds Concert at Benaroya Hall

Economic Crisis 101: Why it Happened & Why it Matters to You
Wednesday, October 29, 3:00-5:00 p.m., Upper Gwinn Commons. The stock market has lost more than a third of its value, unemployment rates are on the rise, major investment banking firms are disappearing and governments around the globe have proposed massive bailouts. How did this happen? What does it mean to SPU and you? What difference does our Christian faith make in moments like these? This forum is designed to help understand the financial crisis and its impact on SPU. Moderated by School of Business and Economics Dean, Jeff Van Duzer. Other presenters include Professor Douglas Downing, Don Mortenson (V.P. of Business and Planning), and Jordan Grant (Director of Student Financial Services). The event is sponsored by the Office of the President, the School of Business and Economics, ASSP, and the Office of Student Life.
