Fremont Bridge Closures
The Fremont Bridge will be closed for construction at the following times: Monday, November 12 - Friday, November 16, 9:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. There will be a shuttle going back and forth from 9:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. for pedestrians and cyclists, making the loop every 20 to 30 minutes.

Math Proficiency Exam
Tuesday, November 13, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., Otto Miller Hall Lobby. Please report to the OMH lobby by 3:20 for testing room assignments, and bring a #2 pencil. Calculators are not allowed. Sample questions can be found on the SPU website. Exam scores will be posted in Banner by November 20. For more information, contact Laurie Mendes at mendel@spu.edu.


A Darwinian Conservatism?
Thursday, November 15, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m., Demaray Hall 150. In recent years, several prominent political scientists including James Q. Wilson, Francis Fukuyama, and Charles Murray have argued that it is not only possible but necessary to ground political conservatism in Darwinian biology. Dr. Larry Amhart of Northern Illinois University and Dr. John West of Discovery Institute debate the possibility of a Darwinian conservatism. For more information, contact Professor Reed Davis.

Winter Registration for Undergrad Students
Tuesday, November 13. Winter registration for admitted undergrad students currently in attendance begins. For more information, contact Student Academic Services, sasinfo@spu.edu.


Winter Quarter Payment Plan
The deadline for Payment Plan Option C: Three-Installment Plan for Winter Quarter 2008 is November 15. This plan will divide the quarter costs over three payments instead of one. There is a formal application and non-refundable $40 application fee required for each quarter. However, you will not receive late fees nor have a financial hold placed on your account.
