SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Filipino-American Association of CPAs Accounting Scholarship
The Filipino-American Association of CPAs is offering a $750 scholarship to eligible students. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be involved on campus and in the community, demonstrate financial need, be in preparation for a career in accounting, and be U.S. citizens. Applications are available in the Office of Student Financial Services and are due by April 17. If you have any questions, please contact Whitney Kruse at krusew@spu.edu.


Kitsap Quilter's Quilt Guild Fiber Arts Scholarship
The Kitsap Quilters Quilt Guild is offering a $1,000 scholarship to an eligible student enrolled in a Fiber Arts program in Washington state. The applicant must be a resident of Washington, have graduated from high school at least four years prior to applying for the scholarship, have completed course work above the 100 level, enrolled at a college or university within Washington, be enrolled in a Fiber Arts program, (including but not limited to: sewing, weaving, clothing design, history and production of textiles, and art history) and have maintained a 2.0 GPA. Applications are available in the Office of Student Financial Services. All application materials are due by May 15. If you have any questions, please contact Whitney Kruse at krusew@spu.edu.


American Association of University Women
The American Association of University Women is offering a $1,500 scholarship to an eligible Anacortes High School female graduate who will have completed enough credits to be eligible for her junior or senior year of college in the fall of 2007. Applicant must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need, as well as school and community involvement. Applications can be found in the office of Student Financial Services. Orientation Student Director
Do you have a passion for helping new students feel welcome to SPU? Do you love SPU and want everyone else to love it too? Are you creative? Organized? In need of a part-time job for the summer? A new position has been created in the Office of Student Programs for an Orientation Student Director. This is a paid position that will work 20 hours per week during the summer to help plan, organize and create the New Student Orientation. For more information and an application, please stop by the Office of Student Programs, 2nd floor, Student Union Bldg. Applications are due by April 11, 2007.
