The Queen Anne Rotary Club is looking for gifted applicants for the Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships, which provide up to $27,000 to study abroad for a year. Nordic Club's Annual Ski Trip
Saturday, February 25, all day. All are invited! Join the Nordic Club for a fun day of cross-country skiing, sledding, and more! We will spend the day at the Sons of Norway "Trollhaugen Lodge" just past Snoqualmie Pass. Whether in the lodge or snow, there will be plenty of people to meet and activities to enjoy! We'll provide lunch and dinner. Amenities include: Cross-country ski rentals in selected sizes, sledding and inner-tubing at the lodge, recreation room, indoor games and activities, and a sauna and hot tub. Plus...fellowship, good food, and cultural education. Downhill skiing nearby at Snoqualmie Summit (extra cost). Only $10 for the whole day (includes ski gear, lunch, and dinner)! We will leave from SPU's campus at 9:00 a.m. and return after dinner. Contact club president Sonja Sproul at sproul@spu.edu to sign up.

Relay for Life 2007
Wednesday, February 28, 7:00 p.m., SPU Library. Interested in getting involved in the nationwide fight against cancer? Relay for Life 2007 at SPU is a 24-hour event held May 5th through May 6th at Wallace Field. Start a Relay for Life team! Come to our next Team Captain meeting on February 28 to register and learn more about putting together your cancer-fighting team! Teams camp out all night and take turns circling the track. Live music, fun activities, a candle-lit memorial ceremony, and much more fill the Saturday through Sunday event. Sign up today! [link]

Students in Service Orientation
Monday, February 26, 7:00 p.m., Demaray 256. Students In Service is a part-time AmeriCorps program that offers educational vouchers to students who participate in community service. Students may earn educational awards for community service commitments of 300, 450, or 900 hours performed over 1-2 years. Service may be related to education, human needs/services, public/homeland security, and environmental initiatives, but may not be religious in nature. A pre-service orientation for students interested in the program. Before attending the February 26 Orientation, students should complete the Pre-Service Online Orientation available at the link attached.
