Fan Mayhall Gates Literary Reading: Kirsten Sundberg Lunstrum
Kirsten Sundberg Lunstrum will read from her first collection of short stories, "This Life She's Chosen," on February 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Library Seminar Room for the annual Fan Mayhall Gates Literary Reading. Lunstrum strikes at the heart of choice and consequence in her debut. The Boston Globe writes, "Still and hauntingly ambiguous, these collected stories seem inspired, even inhabited, by the coastal fog of the Pacific Northwest. This is the fiction of mood and sensibility, not of incident." Admission is free. Sponsored by the SPU English Department.

As a result, I have made a life-long commitment to do my part to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity to succeed. I am often reminded of my two years of teaching in Los Angels as I continue to advocate for change in our public school system." – Jackie Estephan (SPU ༽)
