CIS Help: Sneaky Spyware!
Have you ever tried to remove spyware from your computer but then found Ad Aware (or Spybot, etc.) is unable to delete what it finds? Or maybe after removing programs you restart your computer... and find that the pop up ads are back? If this has happened to you, try the following. First, make sure your spyware removal programs (such as Ad Aware) are up-to-date with the latest spyware definitions. Second, disable your network connection (or unplug it). It seems that some spyware plays dirty and is clever enough to use your Internet connection to load more of itself onto your computer while it is uninstalling. Third, some spyware cannot be removed because Windows protects the files, so you will need to go into the Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs feature to get rid of these. If you try these tips and still cannot remove spyware or are having computer problems, please consider a Help@Home visit to your campus room or apartment. We will happily inspect your computer, assist in removing spyware, and tune it up to make it run faster and better. Just go to http://www.spu.edu/help-at-home to request a visit today.

Physical fitness and exercise services
Senior Exercise Science majors are available on a limited basis to provide a variety of physical fitness and exercise services. These can be as simple as the assessment of a single component of fitness or instruction for a specific exercise. On the other end of the spectrum you can get a complete fitness assessment and exercise prescription or have a personal trainer for a period of time. If you are interested, call x2081 and give the receptionist the information needed to match you with an appropriate student.
