SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Servant Leadership Award
The Barnabas Servant Leadership Nominations are due by April 16! Do you know a student who demonstrates Christian character, has made a commitment to on-or-off campus service, shows a willingness to take on tasks regardless of recognition or challenge, demonstrates leadership, and will be a senior during the 2004-05 school year? If so, we encourage you to nominate this student or students for the Barnabas Servant Leadership Scholarship. Recipients of the scholarship receive a $750 cash grant and a contribution of $250 given in the name of the recipient to a charity of his or her choice. Online nominations are due by Friday, April 16, and can be found on the Office of Campus Ministries home page: http://www.spu.edu/depts/ocm/barnabas_award.asp. ICW Scholarships
Don't forget, your ICW Scholarship application is due TODAY, April 12! Please bring all application materials to the Student Financial Services office no later than 4:30 p.m.


ESM of Greater Seattle Scholarship
Employee Services Management of Greater Seattle is pleased to announce their $500 awarded to an undergraduate at the junior level who is completing a degree in an employee-based services and recreation field, including Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, Physical Education, Health & Wellness, or Human Resources. Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be registered full-time. Applications can be found in the Student Financial Service office. All materials are due July 12, 2004. Women Accountants
Hey all you accounting majors listen up! If you are a woman pursuing a major in accounting, then here is a scholarship that you should apply for! The Seattle Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants, are making scholarships available for woman attending college, full-time or part-time and has completed 45 quarter hours with an overall GPA of 2.05 and 3.0 in accounting. SPRINT Debriefers Needed
Seattle Pacific Reachout INTernational (SPRINT) is looking for people to debrief nursing mission trip team members. Debriefing is simply spending an hour with a student listening to stories, looking at pictures, and discussing how their life will be different because of their trip. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the life of a student in the SPU community. There are many incredible stories to be told! Summer Housing Application
Summer housing applications are now available in the Office of University Services. In order to be eligible for summer housing, you must currently live on campus AND be enrolled for classes Summer Quarter OR be enrolled for classes Fall Quarter OR be a graduating senior. Take a Survey- Win an iPod!!
Starting on April 19, SPU will be asking you to share your views about some serious college health issues facing our nation. To collect student opinions and information about experiences and knowledge, SPU is participating in a national project: The Health Survey. SPU is relying on you to accurately inform us of your attitudes and behaviors in order to guide the institution in the development and assessment of support and educational programs and also to participate in this national project. Outside the Classroom, Inc. has been contracted by SPU to collect information from 1600 undergraduate students, selected at random Outside the Classroom, Inc. will be contacting students directly via e-mail with instructions to complete the survey. As an incentive to participate, the names of four lucky respondents will be drawn at random to receive either a 20 GB Apple iPod, one of two 15 GB Apple iPods, or $200 of textbooks at the University Bookstore. In order to be eligible for the prize drawing, you will need to complete the survey by May 14, 2004. All information that you provide is confidential. Your name will never be associated with any information you provide on this survey and you will not be solicited by any company as a result of your participation. Automated operations conducted by Outside the Classroom, Inc. will be utilized in order to send reminders and generate the winners of the incentive prizes.

Then stop by the "What to Do With a BA in Psych Night" on Tuesday, April 20 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. where you will meet and talk with Psychology alumni about possible career choices.
