SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Public or Business Admin. Majors
Are you majoring in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field? The Government Finance Officers Association is pleased to announce a scholarship of $5,000 to be awarded for the 2004-2005 academic school year. Eligibility for this scholarship includes being employed by a state or local government/public entity, being enrolled in the finance, business or public administration major, and recommended by your employer. Woman Pursuing an Accounting Major
Hey all you accounting majors listen up! If you are a woman pursuing a major in accounting, then here is a scholarship that you should apply for! The Seattle Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants, are making scholarships available for woman attending college, full-time or part-time and has completed 45 quarter hours with an overall GPA of 2.05 and 3.0 in accounting. Emergency Management
The Washington State Emergency Management Joel Aggergaard Memorial Scholarship is a $500.00 scholarship which is awarded to a Washington State college student in their junior or senior year pursuing a diploma in emergency management or a closely related field. Palestinian Christians in the West Bank: Presentation and Documentary Film
Thursday, Feb 26 Marthame and Elizabeth Sanders, Missionaries in the Middle East, will be on the SPU campus to host a discussion and show part of their documentary film, "Salt of the Earth" at 1:00 p.m. in DH 150. They will show the ENTIRE documentary film, "Salt of the Earth" on Palestinians in the Northern West Bank at 7:30 p.m. in DH 150. Come and see rare and inspiring footage of our Christian brothers and sisters in this war-torn land. Final Home Basketball Games
This week marks the final home games for No. 3- ranked SPU women's basketball. The women play Thursday against Saint Martin's, 7:00 p.m. Both men and women play Saturday. The women play Northwest Nazarene at 5:00 p.m., and the men take on No.10-ranked Western Washington at 7:00 p.m. SPU students receive complimentary tickets with ID. Nursing Career Fair
On February 26 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Upper Gwinn, SHS will host a nursing career fair. Approximately 25 health care organizations from around the Puget Sound will be here to talk with students about health related job opportunities. All nursing and pre-nursing students are encouraged to attend! Although the focus will be nursing-related jobs, all students interested in health care employment are invited. Refreshments provided.
