Key Education Resources (Key Bank) is offering $50,000.00 in scholarship funds for the 2003-2004 school year. You may register to win at www.key.com/50years. CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

ASSP Information Technology Coordinator Applications Now Available
Applications are currently available for the 2003-2004 ASSP Information Technology Coordinator position in the ASSP Office. The ITC is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the ASSP webpage, maintaining the ASSP file server, consulting on IT projects, and sitting on the Committee for Community Relations. If you have database, HTML, and generally advanced computer skills combined with a heart to serve next year, stop by the ASSP Office and pick up an application. Applications are due Friday, May 16 by 5:00p.m.


Applications for Centurions
Applications for Centurions are now available in the Uni-Com office, or by request from Ryan Hofer (rphofer@spu.edu). Centurions is an honorary service club for Junior and Senior males. Membership is based upon service to SPU and the surrounding community, as well as the desire to participate in worship and prayer on a weekly basis with upperclassmen.

Second Essence Unveiling
You are cordially invited to attend the 2003 Second Essence Unveiling. Come enjoy fine hors d'oeuvres and desserts while selected contributors form this year's journal read their work, perform their songs, and show their artwork. The evening will be held in the First Free Methodist Church Fine Center on May 6, at 7:00p.m. Come help support Seattle Pacific University's arts community at this fabulous, free event!


Writers Workshop
Do you love to write? Are you eager to learn about the world of Christian publishing? What if you had 20 how-to workshops with editors and published authors to choose from and three wild and wonderful sessions with best selling author and humorist Liz Curtis Higgs? What if all this was just $25.00 to SPU students? Well, it is! May 30-31 is the SPU Christian Writers Renewal with writers from all over Puget Sound and faculty from California, Colorado, Idaho, Florida, Kentucky and Oregon. They include literary agent Bruce Barbour, magazine editor Cynthia Schnereger, syndicated talk show host Dick Staub and acquisitions editor Terry Whalin, author of Teach Yourself the Bible in 24 Hours. National Talk Show Host on "Hollywood vs. Religion"
Best-selling author, national talk show host, and film critic Michael Medved will speak on the topic "Hollywood vs. Religion" Monday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Upper Gwinn. Michael Medved hosts a radio program on 770 AM in Seattle, is a best-selling author, renowned film critic and has frequently been a guest on major national TV talk shows. The event is sponsored by the Office of Residence Life, the Office of Student Programs and the Society of Fellows. The event will be free, open to the public and handicap accessible. The Office of Student Employment is holding two informational sessions regarding options for summer work. Both will be in Demarary 150. Times are: May 14 at 3:00p.m. and May 15 at 1:00p.m. The sessions will cover On-Campus, Non-Work Study and State Work Study employment. Students that qualify for Summer State Work Study will be notified soon. Make your summer a profitable one by making plans now.
