COMMUNITY NEWS

ASSP eNewsletter Debuts!
http://199.237.180.240/newsletter/intro-collage.gifAs part of an effort to improve communications from the ASSP to the students we serve, we are excited to launch this inaugural issue of the ASSP eNewsletter. Through this regular E-mail communication, ASSP leaders will be able to easily keep you updated with information about the latest activities of all of the different areas of the ASSP, with information about programs you want to participate in and how you can get involved. We are very excited about the opportunity to fully communicate with students by empowering you with the information you need to get the most out of YOUR student government. -- Chris Zibert, ASSP Public Relations Manager

ASSP Online is up and running...
ASSP Online, ASSP's completely redesigned and updated website, is now on the web. The new site offers a wealth of information about every campus program sponsored by the ASSP, has detailed information about how the ASSP structure operates, and provides information on the current activities of every part of the organization. Besides its new look, the amount of information and resources on ASSP Online is about ten to fifteen times greater than was available on our old website. As a reminder, the ASSP Book Exchange is a great way to buy and sell textbooks. It is one of the many great features of the new site. ASSP Online is another key component of our current efforts to improve both the quantity and quality of information ASSP provides its members. Be sure to check out the new site and let us know what you think. We love hearing from you. assp-info@spu.edu [link]

STUDENTS SERVING STUDENTS

Students to Attend Missions Conference
Thanks to ASSP funds, SRPINT Core members will be attending the National Short-Term Missions Leadership Conference in Los Angeles from January 17-19. This conference will provide the SPRINT Core with a breadth of perspective on how to better streamline the internal operations of SPRINT, and how to better assess how and where to send teams in the future. It will also help SPRINT Core to network with other missionaries and missionary organizations; an essential factor for finding potential locations to send teams. This conference will be a great way to continue to develop SPRINT, as the sole missions-specific organization on campus, into a professional organization that represents SPU abroad. It will also help provide training and support for those students interested in pursuing missions careers after graduation. ASSP is proud to support these students in their efforts to be effective witnesses for Christ around the world. The team exemplifies the ASSP mission of "Students Serving Students." [link]
