- Academic Search Premier - This multi-disciplinary database provides full text for more than 4,600 journals, including nearly 3,900 peer-reviewed titles. Its coverage ranges from 1984 to the present, with some back files (to 1975) and searchable cited references available.(SPU Only)
- CQResearcher - offers single 12,000-word reports written by journalists on news topics of health, social trends, criminal justice, international affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the economy, dating back to 1991.(SPU Only)
- GPO (Government Printing Office) - provides citations for all types of government documents and includes links to free online versions of some publications. Its coverage extends from 1976 to the present.(SPU Only)
- JSTOR - offers digitized versions of core scholarly journals in many disciplines.(SPU Only)
- Legal Collection - contains full text for more than 250 scholarly law journals.(SPU Only)
- Military and Government Collection - provides full-text coverage for 300 journals and periodicals, as well as indexes and abstracts for 645 other sources, pertaining to all branches of the military and government.(SPU Only)

- America: History and Life - This index of literature covers the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present, with indexing for 1,700 journals published as early as 1910.(SPU Only)
- Europa World Yearbook - offers an online, dynamic version of the Europa World Year Book, first published in 1926.(SPU Only)
- Google Scholar - This search engine searches for scholarly research across many disciplines and sources. By starting your Google search from the SPU pages, the results will link to SPU-owned full-text.
- New York Times Index - offers full-text coverage of the U.S. newspaper of record. Important speeches and documents, Supreme Court decisions, and presidential press conference transcripts are included.(SPU Only)
- Research Library Complete - covers a broad range of topics, with coverage extending from 1971 to the present.(SPU Only)
