  • Library Closed for State of the University Address

    All SPU Offices, including the Library, will be closed 9:15a.m. - 1p.m. on Wednesday, September 19th, for Opening Communion, State of the University Address, and the All-Campus Picnic.

  • Did You Know?

    SPU students can access "course reserves" at the Library circulation desk. Course reserves are materials selected by SPU professors as additional required reading, viewing or listening for a specific course. These items are available for limited checkout periods, with an SPU ID. To retrieve a reserve item, search by course number or professor name, locate the call number for the item, and bring that number to the circulation desk.

  • Labor Day Closure

    The Library will be closed on Monday, September 3rd, in observance of Labor Day.Summer interim hours will resume on Tuesday, September 4th.

    The SPU Library offers a variety of popular movies, available for one-week checkouts. Want a film for movie night? Come browse our collection! Our DVD and VHS collection is located in the first shelving unit on the main floor, with most popular titles in the PN1995 to PN1997 call-number range. You can also search for specific titles, using our online catalog.

    SPU holds a special collection of books and resources exploring the intersection of Christian faith, vocation, business, and economics. Originally donated to the University by Pete Hammond in 2008, this “Work and Faith” collection continues to grow. Come browse through these titles in the Graduate/Faculty Study Room!

  • Fourth of July Closure

    The Library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Regular summer session hours will resume on Thursday, July 5th.

  • Summer Schedule Starts with Early Closure on Thursday, June 7

    The library will close at 6p.m. on the last day of finals, June 7.  Reopening under the Summer Session schedule at 8a.m. on Friday, June 8.

  • Library Closed for Ivy Cutting and Commencement

    The SPU Library will be closed 9:15a.m. - 10:30a.m. for Ivy Cutting on Friday, June 8, 2012. The library is also closed Saturday, June 9, so that all may participate in commencement activities.

  • Need a Quiet Place to Study During Finals?

    The SPU Library has transformed the Library Seminar Room into a Quiet Study Zone for finals.  From 6p.m. - Close on weeknights and all day on the weekend the Library Seminar Room is reserved for quiet, individual study. 

    Put cellphones on silent, bring quiet munchies, and be prepared to pass notes: this space is going to be as noise free as we can make it!
