  • Book Display: Award-Winning Children's Literature

    May 12, 2014

    For the month of May, the book display table will highlight recent award-winning children's literature. Check out the 2014 Newbery Medal winner, the part graphic novel, part chapter book "Flora & Ulysses" by Kate DiCamillo. Or marvel at the Caldecott Medal winning fine-line dynamic action illustrations of "Locomotive" by Brian Floca.

    Need to view a film? Or prepare for a group presentation? The SPU Library has a media room on the lower level, fully equipped with a large LCD display, a computer, a VCR, and a DVD player. Make a reservation through SPU Roomfinder, and the media room can be yours for several hours.

  • Holiday Hours — Holy Week

    On April 18th, in observance of Good Friday, the SPU library hours are reduced to 7:30 a.m. — noon. On April 19th and 20th, the library will be closed. Happy Easter!

  • Course Reserves

    Do you need to access items put on reserve by your professors? Directly above, in the main search bar, click on the course reserves tab. Search by item or professor name to locate your reserve item, write the call number down, bring it to the front desk, and we'll pull it for you!

  • Lent in The Library

     Visit the library reading room, and walk through the Library's "Book Labyrinth" during Lent, a contemplative exercise practiced by Christians for thousands of years. Also, check out selected books, movies, and albums from our Lenten display table.
