Policies
FERPA
Certain student information is private and cannot be disclosed
without the written permission of the student. This information
includes: grades, student schedules and course information.
Grade information
(student papers, grade rosters and grade books) should be kept
in a secure location.
Grades should
NOT be posted in the classroom or elsewhere. Even if the
names are blocked out and social security numbers are left to
identify students, this is a violation of students' privacy. Social
security numbers are considered private information.
Student schedules
are private information. The location of a student should NOT
be disclosed. In emergency situations, the Office of Safety and
Security or the Office of Registration and Records can notify
the student while in class.
