SAFETY AND SECURITY OFFICE
The Safety and Security Office is open 24 hours. It is located at 601 W. Emerson. Security staff members, trained in first aid and CPR, respond to all emergencies and minor injuries and will contact the proper city authorities when necessary. Security also provides escort service after dark. For on-campus emergencies, dial (206) 281-2911 and for non-emergency situations, dial (206) 281-2922.

REPORTING EMERGENCIES
On-Campus
If any on-campus emergency situation arises, contact the Campus Safety and Security Office at x2911 (from any campus phone). For situations that are not emergencies but need Security's services, please do not use x2911; instead call x2922.

For on-campus emergencies, do not call the police, fire station, or ambulance directly; Security will contact the emergency service(s) that should arrive at the scene and will direct them to the correct location.

When calling, give the location of the accident victim and a brief description of the injury. Also, provide the name and phone number of the person reporting the accident.

IDENTIFICATION CARD
Your campus photo ID serves as your library card and faculty identification. You may obtain an ID card from University Services at 3220 6th Ave West. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., phone (206) 281-2188. This card is valid for the term you are teaching for SPU. A new application form must be completed at University Services for each additional term you teach.

ADJUNCT FACULTY STATUS
Adjunct faculty status operates on a quarter-to-quarter basis. It does not accrue toward regular faculty status or promotion at SPU and may not be accumulated for tenure, sabbaticals or full-time faculty benefits. After three years of service at SPU, your name will be listed in the Faculty Staff Directory.
