ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Please refer to the front of the Time Schedule for important SPU dates, including school holidays and final exam dates and times. Time schedules and catalogs are available in the Humanities office.

COMPUTER HELP/ EMAIL
If your computer is not functioning properly, you may contact the Computer and Information Services (CIS) Helpdesk at (206) 281-2982. To set up an email account, follow the instructions at http://www.spu.edu/help/email/createemail.html. Ask your Administrative Assistant (AA) if you need a replacement toner cartridge for your printer.

COPYRIGHT
Copyright holder's permission must be obtained for all copyrighted materials copied for class use. The Humanities AA can request this through copyright.com. "Fair use" exceptions are limited to one-time use of excerpts shorter than 1,000 words or complete works or articles shorter than 2,500 words. See the back of the university copy requisition for full details. Copy requisitions are available in the Humanities office or the copy center.

COURSE EVALUATIONS
Evaluation of your class by the students will be conducted through the online banner system toward the end of each quarter. Please encourage your students to complete the banner process for your class as detailed in the Office of Academic Affairs website.

GRADING
Please refer to the online information for adjuncts. Also, consult your Department Chair. You will receive a grade roster during the last week of the quarter. Grades are usually due one week after the last day of final exams. Grade Change forms and Requests for Incomplete are available in the Humanities office.

GYM ACCESS
With a valid SPU ID card, adjuncts are welcome to use the gym facilities located in Royal Brougham Pavilion. Available services include weight room, aerobic fitness center, and limited court access (please check the schedule outside the main gym for available court times). A key to the faculty locker room may be obtained by filling out a key request form in the Athletics office. For a minimal fee, a locker is available (contact the AA in Physical Education at (206) 281-2391).

Facility hours are as follows:
Monday-Thursday 7 a.m.-11 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday 2 p.m.-6 p.m.

(Varsity Athlete Hours: 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. daily)
