COPY MACHINE/KEY CODES

On-campus photocopy services are available through the Kinko's Copy Center. The Copy Center requests a 48-hour turnaround. The AA for the academic unit will assist adjunct faculty with the copy requisition forms, appropriate budget numbers and delivery and retrieval of copy jobs from the Copy Center.

Convenience copiers are available in each academic unit for limited copies (20 pages or less). The AA will provide adjunct faculty with a convenience copier key code. Copies made for personal use cost 10 cents per copy. Fees are collected by the AA in the academic unit.

Off-campus photocopy services are available by pre-arrangement with the academic unit at any Kinko's retail store.

COURSE HANDOUTS
University funded course handouts are permissible for courses spanning the entire academic quarter, provided the total cost does not exceed 10 pages, excluding syllabi, tests and quizzes.

University-printed secondary teaching aids such as study guides, handbooks, workbooks, manuals, lecture notes, extended biographies, etc. must be marketed to students through the SPU Bookstore. The AA for the academic unit will coordinate with the Bookstore on these items.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SUPPORT
The Administrative Assistant (AA) for each individual academic unit, will aid in support for all the needs and areas covered in this pamphlet.

SALARY PAYMENTS
Payroll checks are available on the first of the month, one month following the course ending or closing date. Contracted courses spanning an academic quarter or longer may be eligible for distributed payments as specified on the contract. Unless instructors arrange differently, checks will be mailed to the address on the W-4 or W-9 form.

Payments to adjunct faculty or independent contractors will not be processed until the following are received:

  • W-4 (or W-9)
  • Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
  • A signed contract
  • Course grades turned in
