GRADES
Please be aware that student grades cannot be posted publicly
for identification through social security numbers. This is illegal.
You may, however, use a pre-selected code word or number. Likewise,
neither papers nor tests may be left out publicly. You may wish
to collect a self-addressed/stamped envelope from each student
for returning final tests/papers, or you may leave papers in the
wardrobe in the Fine Arts office for pick up. The student has
up to 3 weeks into the next quarter to pick these up. Any papers
left at the end of the 3rd week will be tossed out.
You will receive
an "Official Grade Roster" in your mailbox before finals
begin. Please record your final grades on it and return to Linda
before the posted deadline, SAS (Student Academic Services) in
Demaray Hall by FAX at (206) 281-2669 or you may submit grades
via the Web.
Grades are
due to SAS usually within a week of the last day of finals by
4:30 p.m. You may fax your grade report to SAS at (206) 281-2669
with the original to follow via the mail. It is the faculty member's
responsibility to contact students if grades are turned in past
the deadline. Meeting deadlines is essential for providing students
with timely grade reports and official transcripts.
Incompletes
Before granting an incomplete, check with the department chair.
If given approval, student needs to initiate form (blue) - available
in the office.
