ADJUNCT FACULTY STATUS
Adjunct faculty status operates on a quarter-to-quarter basis. It does not accrue toward regular faculty status or promotion at SPU and may not be accumulated for tenure, sabbaticals or full-time faculty benefits. If you consecutively teach the same course each year, at the beginning of the 3rd year, your name will be listed in the campus phone directory.

ADJUNCT OFFICES
The adjunct professor offices and studios are assigned as space and availability permit.

BOOKSTORE PURCHASES
Located across the street next to the bank, the SPU bookstore supplies textbooks to support academic programs. A full array of supplies, general reading, books, gifts, and personal items (including photo processing and special order services) are available. All faculty and staff with an SPU identification card receive a 10% discount on their purchases. Extended hours are available at the beginning of each quarter. Textbook buy-back is held the last three days of each academic quarter during finals week. Please call the bookstore at (206) 281-2137 for current hours.

If you wish to purchase anything for your department, you must supply the bookstore personnel with our correct budget numbers. Most supplies are available through the Administrative Assistant, (206) 281-2411 or the Fine Arts office, (206) 281-2250.

BUILDING(S) ACCESS
Buildings utilized by the Fine Arts faculty & students include the Crawford Music Building = CMB (Fine Arts office is in rm. 204), the McKinley/E.E. Bach Theatre = McK (located directly to the west of Crawford), Beegle Hall = BH (located directly behind McKinley) and the Art Center Gallery = ACG, located at 3 West Cremona.

Music Practice Rooms are located on the lower level of the CMB. The Band Room is located in BH 1 with the locked Instrumental Storage room directly to the rear of the room.

A key (or keys) will be requested each quarter for your use. It will allow you entry into the building as well as access to your assigned adjunct office/studio and the main office. You must pick up your key in person, with valid picture ID, at the Office of Safety and Security, located at 601 W. Emerson. Please return your key when you submit your final grades.
