GYM ACCESS
With a valid SPU ID card, adjuncts are welcome to use the gym
facilities located in Royal Brougham Pavilion. Available services
include weight room, aerobic fitness center, and limited court
access (please check the schedule outside the main gym for available
court times). A key to the faculty locker room may be obtained
by filling out a key request form in the Athletics office. For
a minimal fee, a locker is available (contact Howie Kellogg at
hkellogg@spu.edu)
Facility hours
are as follows:
Monday-Thursday 7 a.m.-11 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
IDENTIFICATION
CARD
Your campus photo ID serves as your library card and faculty
identification. You may obtain an ID card from University Services
at 3220 6th Ave West. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6
p.m., phone (206) 281-2188. This card is valid for the term you
are teaching for SPU. A new application form must be completed
at University Services for each additional term you teach.
KEYS
The Administrative Assistant will see that a key is issued to
you so that you can get into the building, your office and have
access to the office copier, etc.
KITCHEN
There is a kitchen area available for your use in your building. If leaving food in the refrigerator, we
ask that you put name and date on it. There is also a microwave
and instant hot water available to you.
LIBRARY
SPU's library offers collections,
services and technology, as well as study/research/meeting space.
Research assistance
is provided by librarians with subject specialties in the sciences,
humanities, religion, fine arts, social sciences, business, education,
counseling, and music.
Adjunct faculty
currently teaching for the University have access to library services.
A temporary identification/library card is necessary for checking
out materials.
The open computer
lab is available for students, faculty and alumni use. From this
lab access may be gained to the Internet, email accounts, University
of Washington libraries, World Wide Web, and more.
Assigned class
reading materials for students may be placed on reserve at the
Reserve/Media counter. Forms are available at the library or may
be requested by phone or e-mail. The form will soon be available
on the Library Web
page.
Arrangements
for videos are made with the staff member at the Reserves counter.
