Find Your Track: Transfers & Non-Trads

You are considered a transfer student if you

  • Completed college coursework after graduating from high school

  • or
  • Earned a Direct Transfer Associate’s Degree in Washington, Oregon, or California regardless of the date of your high school graduation.
You are considered a non-traditional student (Non-Trad) if you are 25 years old or older.

Orientation Process for new Transfer and Non-Traditional Students:

  1. Sign up for a New Student Advising event.

  2. Sign up for Welcome Week or Transfer Express. (Note: There is one sign-up form for both New Student Advising and Welcome Week/Transfer Express.)

  3. Complete the Online tutorial “Earning Your Undergraduate Degree” along with all its assignments prior to your New Student Advising event or appointment. Log in to Blackboard to access the tutorial. If you have questions, call 206-281-2575 or email nsa@spu.edu.

  4. Attend your New Student Advising event.

  5. Attend Welcome Week or Transfer Express.

NSA takes place in the summer. At NSA, you will be advised and registered for your first quarter’s classes. Check here for NSA dates.

Welcome Week

Welcome Week is September 24–27. During this week, you will move in to your on-campus housing, meet other students and professors, and get ready for school to start.
