Friday, January 25

8 a.m.–5 p.m.	Visiting Classes Various Locations Don’t miss this great opportunity to return to the SPU classroom to re-experience the quality education SPU provides! A complete list of class locations will be available during Homecoming and Family Weekend.
10–11 a.m.	Parent and Family Reception Gazebo Room, Student Union Building Parents and families are invited to kickoff Family Weekend at a reception especially for them. Meet the new Parent Council and SPU staff, and get an overview of the weekend’s activities.
Special Interest Sessions
1–2 p.m.	Presentation: “What’s New in University Ministries” Fine Center, Second Floor, First Free Methodist Church
2–3 p.m.	Presentation: SPU Study Abroad Fine Center, Second Floor, First Free Methodist Church Are you the parent(s) of a student planning to — or thinking about — studying abroad? What should you know, and how can you support them? A panel of SPU study-abroad experts will speak about the various options, potential roadblocks, and effective planning tools for students and their families.
2:30 p.m.	Olympic Sculpture Park Tour Join Art Professor Roger Feldman for a docent-led tour of Seattle Art Museum’s new Olympic Sculpture Park on the Seattle waterfront.
7:30 p.m.	Theatre Presentation: “HONK!” E.E. Bach Theatre, McKinley Hall A musical based on Hans Christian Anderson’s classic story “The Ugly Duckling,” by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. $12 general admission, $10 students and seniors. Call the Performing Arts Box Office at 206-281-2959, and pick up tickets at the McKinley Hall Box Office. (No refunds or exchanges.)
7:30 p.m.	Homecoming Student Talent Show Brougham Pavilion Produced by ASSP. Tickets: $5 for students in advance or $7 at the door. Tickets for alumni, families, and staff are $7. Advance purchase is encouraged. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. (festival seating). Call the STUB Office at 206-281-2459 for more information. (No refunds or exchanges.)
