2012 Commencement

Dear Graduate, SPU Families, and Friends,

Ivy CuttingBefore the rush and excitement of graduation events overtake us, I’d like to pause for just a moment to say congratulations to you, our Class of 2012, and to your family and friends who have supported you in this achievement. Can you believe the time has almost arrived?

Graduates, you’re completing your degree after devoting many hours to a goal that at times may have seemed remote. You can be very proud of your accomplishment.

Families and friends, you too are to be celebrated, as you've supported your student in countless ways throughout his or her university career.

This is also a moment of great celebration for the faculty and staff of SPU. We are grateful for the chance to give graduates our blessings as we send them on their way.

Graduates, on behalf of the SPU community, I thank you for choosing Seattle Pacific as your alma mater and wish you God's very best as you move on. I am confident your education at SPU was outstanding preparation for a productive and meaningful life.

Sincerely,

Bruce Congdon, Ph.D.

Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs
