2012 Commencement

Instructions to Faculty and Board of Trustees

Graduate Hooding Ceremony

Friday, June 8, 8:45–9:15 a.m., Martin Square
Faculty and Board of Trustees members, please meet in Martin Square at 8:30 a.m. At the conclusion, a dean will lead students to join the faculty procession for Ivy Cutting. We will begin marching into Tiffany Loop at 9:25 a.m. Faculty, please dress in academic regalia.

Ivy Cutting

Friday, June 8, 9:30–10:30 a.m., Tiffany Loop
Faculty and Board of Trustees members, please meet between Moyer Hall and Peterson Hall at 9:15 a.m. to line up for the processional. Faculty, please dress in academic regalia.

Baccalaureate

Friday, June 8, 7:30–8:30 p.m., Royal Brougham Pavilion
This is an informal worship service planned by the students. Academic regalia is not worn.

Commencement Exercises

Saturday, June 9, 12:30–3:30 p.m., Key Arena, 305 Harrison Street, Seattle
Faculty, please enter Key Arena by 11:30 a.m. through Gate 4A, accessible via Thomas Street on the south side of the building (closest parking garage is 1st Avenue North Garage, between John and Thomas Street, 1/2 block south of the arena).

 

Please pick up your ticket outside of Gate 4A before entering Key Arena. Note: You must have a ticket to enter the arena.

 

Proceed to the marked area where you will line up. Please arrive no later than 11:30 a.m. The faculty marshals will assist with arranging the procession.

Faculty, please note you are required to attend Ivy Cutting and Commencement. You are encouraged and welcome to attend Graduate Hooding and Baccalaureate. If you are unable to attend any of the required events, you must receive permission in writing from your dean to be absent.

Trustees, please call the President's Office at 206-281-2114 before Friday, April 13, to arrange for academic regalia for Commencement. Please enter through Gate 4, accessible via Thomas Street on the south side of the building. Proceed to the marked area where you will line up.

 

Your ticket will be mailed to you. Note: You must have a ticket to enter Key Arena.
