Search Advocate Program

The ODEI is introducing a new hiring initiative with permission from and modeled after Oregon State University’s Search Advocate Program. The program’s primary goal is to promote equity, mitigate bias, and increase diversity in SPU’s faculty and staff searches. An inaugural cohort of twelve faculty and staff will complete a training in June, after which they will be available to serve as equity consultants to hiring teams and search committees across campus.
