Christen Mattix

Professor Mattix received her BFA from Western Washington University and her MFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute. In 1999, she did a studio apprenticeship with Chicago-based artist Tim Lowly. In 2001 she received first place in the Beyond Borders International College Art Show. Her work has been exhibited nationally including Cellspace and The Lab in San Francisco, Dynamite Gallery Project in Grand Rapids, and Nico Gallery in Seattle. She has been teaching at Seattle Pacific University since 2006.
