University Ministries: Gathering Together

group

37five Group - SPU
After a group service in Upper Gwinn. See the group Photo Gallery.
group is SPU’s Wednesday night worship service.  group takes place on the top floor of Gwinn Commons at 8:30 p.m. most weeks of the academic year.  The style of the service is contemporary and informal. Students normally sit in chairs or on the floor. A typical service will include worship songs led by a student band, along with prayers, readings, silence, confession, and the study of Scripture.  group offers all members of the SPU community an opportunity to gather in worship and re-focus our attention on the mission God has for us in the world.

Kingdom(,) come

For the 2008-2009 school year, the theme of group is “Kingdom(,) come.”  Together we’ll study the books of Genesis, Matthew and James as we seek to better understand God’s plan for the world and our place in it.  You can download a 1-page PDF document that describes this year's plan for group by clicking here.
