Hannah AzevedoHometown: Port Orchard, Washington
Education: South Kitsap High School; Seattle Pacific University (Sociology major with a minor in Psychology)
Favorite Seattle restaurant: Blue C Sushi
A trip I'd like to take: I'm dying to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. I'm still disappointed I didn't get my Hogwarts acceptance letter on my 11th birthday..
Family: I am unbelievably blessed to have the most supportive parents and friends who are as much a part of my family as my relatives.
Favorite sports team: Am I allowed to say the Gryffindor Quidditch team?
Books reading now: Currently re-reading The Hobbit.
Favorite Movies: Lord of the Rings trilogy, Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, and Remember the Titans
Favorite thing about SPU: The incredible caring community! I feel overwhelmed with gratitude toward everyone who supported me, taught me, and cared about me during my time as a student at SPU and now as a staff member. And incredible places on campus such as the John Perkins Center that enables students to volunteer and serve with people in the greater Seattle area and also beyond.
Advice for high school/transfer students: Visit your top schools. I can’t emphasize it enough! Walk around campus, meet with faculty, sit in on a class, and talk with current students. Visiting enables you to truly get a feel for the community and culture of a school, and it is one of the best ways to determine if a university is an excellent fit for you.
