Senior Abigail Stahl has a hard time giving up favorite comforts, including Seattle coffee. But the sociology major found studying for five months at the University of Capetown in South Africa changed her perspective about what’s important.
She lived with 18 other international students and explored the history of racial injustice in South Africa. The subject matter infuriated and inspired her. She’s now the SPU student intercultural director and grapples with issues that she finds “endlessly fascinating.”
