Decorating your room until 3 a.m. leads to bonding. Just ask Rediet Mulugeta, Jamie Crespo, and Jill Gaerlan. They met over the summer thanks to Facebook, but really hit it off the night before classes began. The roomies decided to pick a black and white theme as their room’s undercurrent. This kept the room calm in the chaos of closet doors papered with pages from magazines. Jill gravitates toward pictures from Urban Outfitters; Jamie likes Gucci; and Rediet loves pictures of intense makeup. The result is a high-fashion medley.
The trio loves their room’s sophisticated style, and their friendship makes it the perfect place to be. “This is where we can vent, cry, or laugh,” Rediet says. “If something else makes us annoyed, we just come here.”
